Sink your teeth into Umbrian culture on this hands-on cooking class. Your private chauffeur will meet you at your accommodation and drive you to a family-owned estate nestled in the splendid Umbrian hills. Here wine was first produced as far back as the 13th century. After many years of decline, in 1973 a visionary entrepreneur, son of a Lombard wine merchant, purchased this wonderfully situated property with a view to revitalizing ancient traditions and local heritage by means of a modern, innovative approach. Today, after almost fifty years of unstinting effort, both the estate’s red and white wines are making a name among wine enthusiasts worldwide.

Upon arrival, a member of staff will greet you and give you an introduction to the estate’s activities and history. On a pleasant stroll through the vineyards and a visit to the tufa stone cellar cave you will hear about wine production and ageing methods and become familiar with the features of the terroir of this gorgeous corner of Umbria.

Later, in the fascinating setting of a former chapel, your cooking instructor will guide you through the preparation of a four-course lunch featuring prime quality regional ingredients. You will learn local recipes, put some infallible cooking techniques to the test and pick up tips you can use to impress your friends back home at the dinner table. Depending on the season and day of the week, scrumptious highlights might be pizza with different toppings, homemade pasta, stuffed veal, almond cookies… and so much more!

After the cooking lesson tuck into the meal you just prepared, washed down with a selection of the estate’s wines… Compliments to the chefs! As a souvenir of your productive Umbrian morning you will receive recipes and an apron to take home.

In the early afternoon your private chauffeur will drive you back to your accommodation.
