Raise your glass to the delights of Sicily on this enticing excursion to the countryside from Agrigento. Gourmands will have the opportunity to visit one of the island’s most celebrated fine wine producing estates and relish the sumptuous flavours of traditional regional gastronomy.

Set in a splendid location in central Sicily, at an altitude between four hundred and seven hundred metres above sea level, this estate benefits from the unique features of the surrounding environment which, together with the expertise of local oenologists, determines the excellent quality of their red and white wines. The favourable microclimate and geologically varied composition of the farm’s terroir allows for both indigenous and international grape varietals to be planted successfully, from the ubiquitous Pinot Noir and Sauvignon to flagship Sicilian vines, such as Perricone, Nero d’Avola, Nerello Mascalese and Inzolia. Unstinting passion, continuous research, enthusiasm for technological innovation and respect for the territory have always been at the core of the estate’s values since its founding in 1830 and have earned its wines many an accolade.

Vegetables, fruits, olive groves, almond trees and wheat are also lovingly cultivated on the five-hundred-hectare farm while the native Comisana breed of red headed sheep graze freely. Such an abundance of fresh, prime quality raw ingredients available on site is at the root of a tempting array of home-made treats, including extra virgin olive oil, ravioli pasta, caponata with stewed aubergines, sweet cannoli filled with ricotta cheese, for the delight of the discerning clients who frequent their top class cantina.

Your private chauffeur will pick you up at your accommodation in Agrigento and drive you across rolling hills, to the estate’s 19th century country villa. Here, on a tour of the cellar led by a qualified member of staff, you will get to know the activities carried out on the estate and discover why wines – and pretty much every speciality – produced here are so remarkably distinctive. Later, sit down to a mouth-watering Sicilian meal featuring regional dishes and paired with a selection of the estate’s wines.

In the afternoon your private chauffeur will drive you back to Agrigento.
